Joint online participation in the Innovative Learning Spaces Summit 2024
Educational spaces in the broadest sense of the word are the focus of the annual Innovative Learning Spaces Summit. This year, the physical event will take place in Berlin on 19 and 20 September 2024. It is a very broad conference with a variety of topics within the theme of innovative learning spaces.

Developing the vision of campus development, the realisation of buildings and teaching spaces and didactics in the use of innovative learning spaces are topics that can be covered. A conference for everyone involved in realising innovative learning spaces from various disciplines. From architects to educational experts and AV specialists.

This summit can also be followed online. This has the advantage that you spend less time and money on travelling and therefore less environmental impact. But then you also miss out on two important aspects. Reflecting with colleagues on the presentations and expanding your network. We want to eliminate these disadvantages by participating collectively online. In 2023, we did this with a group of colleagues at SURF's office. This was perceived very positively by the participants. You can read the five insights we gained from the Innovative Learning Spaces Summit 2023 at SURF in this report.

Online conference & physical visit
Thursday we are guests at Maastricht University. Friday at the University of Amsterdam. You can register separately for both days.

During these two conference days, we will show the stream of the conference on a big screen. The conference in Berlin has one track. Experience shows that there are presentations that are not interesting for everyone. At those moments, we can engage with participating Dutch and Flemish colleagues. We will also have one or two alternative sessions in reserve.

The workshop Pedagogical Playground: Designing Dynamic Learning Spaces,delivered in Berlin by colleagues from Utrecht University, will also be held in Amsterdam.

At both locations, we will also organise a tour of innovative learning spaces on their campuses.

Costs
SURF organises the physical meetings for both days. The location, lunch, coffee and tea are at our expense.
However, you do need to register in addition to participate in the summit online. You can register via this website.

Networking and social
