Digital testing
The testing landscape is evolving rapidly. The demand for digital testing is rising rapidly and the diversity of testing forms is also increasing rapidly. The testing process is becoming increasingly interwoven with the educational process, with testing becoming a learning moment rather than a point of accountability.

Would you like to be involved in activities around digital testing and assessment? You can do so through the following ways.

Pilot digital testing and development at Npuls

The Digital Testing theme will start working within the NPULS programme from 1 January 2025 through the Digital Testing and Development pilot.

Testing touches the heart of education. The perspective on testing is changing: the emphasis is increasingly on the formative aspects - the learning process. In addition, digitalisation of testing has taken off. These developments present education with major challenges. In order to help educational institutions in secondary vocational, higher vocational and university education to manage this educational and digital transformation, a new pilot hub will start within Npuls on 1 January 2025: Digital testing and development.

The pilothub will carry out various projects around the educational and organisational aspects of (digital) testing. The learner is central in this: how can testing contribute to the learner's optimal development? We will help educational professionals with that question. We also want to give educational institutions tools to formulate a vision on testing, and to use this as a basis for drawing up policy and designing processes and systems. We also work together on public values: we explore the possibilities for open source software, work with suppliers on standards for data exchange and design a target architecture for open test and question banks.
