Digital testing and assessment in practice
E-portfolios
In higher education, universities of applied sciences, and vocational education, there is a growing trend toward development-focused assessment. This is increasingly supported by an e-portfolio, also known as a development portfolio. In an e-portfolio, teachers and students can track the student’s progress, record learning outcomes, and document competencies. To assess the current state and look toward the future of e-portfolios, SURF conducted an inventory.
In our study on e-portfolios, we highlight key considerations for the coming years. In the publication E-portfolios in Higher Education, Part 1 provides an overview of the current state and future prospects of e-portfolios. Part 2 delves into the requirements and challenges involved in selecting and implementing an e-portfolio.
Are you exploring e-portfolios or planning to implement one? In the publication E-portfolios in Higher Education (Dutch), you’ll find insights into the development of e-portfolios in education, current usage trends, and key considerations for e-portfolio implementation.
