Encouraging open standards

1EdTech, headquartered in the United States, works globally to promote interoperability and innovation in education. It places significant emphasis on open standards in educational technology, such as Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) and Open Badges. These standards, also implemented by SURF, contribute to an open and secure digital learning environment. For instance, edubadges—SURF's platform for digital certificates and microcredentials—utilizes the Open Badges standard. This provides educational institutions with a reliable framework for adopting and implementing digital credential systems.

From everyone at SURF, we congratulate Christien on her appointment!
