Researchers can again apply for computing time through NWO and SURF

From 1 January 2025, you can again apply for computing time on the national computer systems at SURF and the associated data services and expertise for your research. Applications can be submitted to NWO on an ongoing basis.

Advanced national computer systems are used for scientific research that requires solving large computation- and data-intensive problems beyond the computing power at your institution. These systems are managed by SURF.

Through the new computing time call, you can request computing time and data storage on supercomputers Snellius and LUMI, data processing (Grid/Spider), Cloud Research Consultancy and SURF Research Cloud. The call for proposals applies to large amounts of compute time and data storage. Small amounts of computational time and LUMI pilot projects can be applied directly to SURF.

See the NWO website for more information.
