Looking back at SURF Education Days 2021

During SURF Education Days 2021, over 600 visitors were on site to meet each other. There was a choice of more than 50 parallel sessions, some of which could be followed hybrid. Check out the highlights in the form of photos, videos, blogs and presentations.

Highlights SURF Education Days 2021

After an intense growth of ICT innovation in education, it is now time to come to fruition. For the education of the future. That's why this year's theme was Bloom Spurt.

Day 1 SURF Education Days

On day 1, Jet de Ranitz and Karim Amghar (chairman of the day) kicked off the SURF Education Days. There were interviews with Derk Loorbach and Nynke Bos, the Acceleration Plan launched the transition agenda and Menno Scheers and Barend Last were presented with the SURF Education Award. In short, a full programme focusing on the future of education. Watch the impression of day 1 below.

Overhandiging transitieagenda — Derk Loorbach (DRIFT) handed over the transition agenda to Rector Magnificus Arthur Mol (WUR).

Day 2 SURF Education Days

On day 2, Christien Bok spoke with a summary of day 1 with a glimpse of SURF's activities and Barend Last read his column on 'Blended education was always there'. Marcel Brosens glanced at the education of the future and Pascal Koole and Gerdinand Bosch received a SURF Education Award. Fleur Jongepier closed the SURF Onderwijsdagen with a keynote in which she outlined the often tricky value dialogues within ict and education. An impression of day 2 can be found below.
