What will you learn?

This workshop will introduce you to the Human Rights and Algorithms Impact Assessment (IAMA). We start with an introduction on why algorithms should be tested and an introduction to the IAMA. Through a case assignment, you will be introduced to IAMA.

In the second part of the day, we look further into human rights and you learn to identify when algorithms might violate them. You will also get practical tips and tricks to apply IAMA within your own institution.

The course is taught in Dutch. Do you prefer an English version? Let us know via e-mail to Sanderijn Kuijvenhoven, and we will look at the possibilities together.

In this workshop:

  • You will learn in practice how to apply IAMA to a case and how to guide others in its use.
  • Become aware of how algorithms strengthen or undermine public values, and learn to recognise ethical bottlenecks in algorithms and AI.

For whom.

Educational support staff, staff members of educational institutions.
