MIIP webinar: Microsoft Viva Suite

As a member organisation of and for education and research institutions in the Netherlands, SURF is committed to the responsible use of digital technology, with an eye for the practice of education and research. Knowledge sharing within and between institutions plays a central role: together, we learn how digital solutions can enhance job satisfaction, communication and collaboration.

In this webinar, we explore how institutions can use digital workstations to better support staff. This webinar will cover the Microsoft Employee Experience Platform (Viva), a platform that focuses on improving the employee experience through communication, knowledge sharing, learning and wellbeing. We provide an overview of the Viva Suite, specifically focused on the context of education and research. We then zoom in on internal communication: how do you keep employees informed and connected within a hybrid organisation?

This webinar is intended as a practical guide for institutions already deploying or seriously considering Microsoft Viva, and looking for shared insights and examples from the sector. As a member institution, you are of course free to explore your own appropriate alternatives - our aim is to share knowledge and experiences that will help you make informed choices.

The programme

The language of the webinar is Dutch. The programme consists of two parts for different target groups:

• 10.00 to 10.45 - for IT managers, information managers and Microsoft 365 administrators
  You will get an explanation of:
  • the full Viva Suite: how do the different components work together?
  • integration with Microsoft 365 for a seamless user experience.
  • strengthening HR and communication through predictive analytics and automated processes, including a demonstration of AI capabilities within Viva.
• 10.45 to 11.30 am - for marketing and corporate communications officers, PR staff, student coaches, study counsellors and IT managers
  You will be explained about:
  • Viva Connections: create a connected organisational culture. Make employees feel engaged and informed, and strengthen company culture and internal communication.
  • Viva Engage: provide communication teams with a platform where ideas and information can flow freely. Encourage innovation, communication and collaboration between teams.
  • Viva Amplify: enable communication managers to deliver consistent and impactful messages across channels, increasing the effectiveness of campaigns.
