This workshop is part of a series of two workshops on responsible sharing of hard-to-share data in the social sciences and humanities. You can register for both workshops, but you can also choose to register for just one.
- The workshop 'Sharing fieldwork notes' will take place in Leiden on 26 May. In it, participants will explore why fieldwork notes are often not shared, what are the advantages and disadvantages of sharing fieldwork data and how this can be done carefully. The workshop includes case studies from various disciplines within the social sciences and humanities.
- The first workshop, on 8 May, focuses on 'The ethical considerations in sharing fieldwork data and the CARE principles'. Participants will visit Erasmus University's International Institute of Social Studies in The Hague and learn about the CARE principles. They will also have the opportunity to contribute ideas on ways to implement these principles within the ethical review processes of Dutch universities.
